The Healing Power of Juicing: Secrets You Should Know

Have you been juicing lately? Can you feel the healing power of juicing already? Amazing, right?

Each time you juice fresh fruits and vegetables, you are supplying your body with powerful rejuvenating liquid goodness. Apart from tasting great, juicing powers your immune system and restores your skin and organs to proper health and vitality.

If you are a regular visitor on this site, you’ve probably read about the amazing health benefits of juicing and you’re already assured (after trying) that juicing is good for you. Heck, you might even have tried juicing for weight loss, or perhaps you’ve read a couple of juicing testimonials from blog readers. But what about the healing power of juicing? What is that “SPECIAL POWER” in juicing that practically speeds up the healing process and effectively treats all kinds of sickness and disease?

If you search online, you’d probably discover many written documents, videos, slideshows and info graphics coupled with testimonials that prove that the power of fruits and vegetables have healing functions. They provide your body with a lot of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and supercharge our body system.

Yes, you can eat them raw, and yes, you should try them. But why juice them? The healing power of juicing is centred on two things:

  1. It’s raw nutrient power.
  2. It becomes easy to digest and assimilate.

Juicing and Raw Nutrients

The Healing Power of Juicing

More than any century, the 21st century has witnessed the greatest creation of awareness of the secret healing power of fruits and vegetables. But are they better eaten raw or cooked?

If you’ve attended health events or have spent enough time with friends and family who belong to health circles, you’ve probably heard that cooking destroys nutrients in the foods we consume.

But how does cooking do this?

Well, cooking is actually a chemical process and obviously, it changes the molecular structure of the food, making it foreign to the body. If you think this is false, stick your hand in a pot of boiling water. When you pull it out, how does it look? Is it in better or worse condition? I bet it is the latter!

Do you understand that cooking destroys the enzymes in food now? But wait, what are enzymes and why should we care so much about them?

Enzymes are life- That’s a fact!

Like water, vitamins, proteins, minerals, fats, and carbohydrates, enzymes help provide the body with nutrients. Without the presence of enzymes in the food you eat, the body is forced to rob itself.

Unfortunately, every heavily processed food (95% of supermarket shelves) has been stripped of every bit of their enzyme content. That is, they contain no iota of plant “life force”. This means that every time you eat pizza, burger, bun, or anything that comes in a packet, can or tin, your body has to rob its own enzyme resources to make up for the shortfall. Sounds really bad, right?

In Awakening Our Self Healing Body, Arthur M. Baker writes:

“Overly cooked foods literally wreck our body. They deny needed nutrients to the system since heat alters foodstuffs such that they are partially, mostly, or wholly destroyed. Nutrients are coagulated, denatured, caramelized, and rendered inorganic and become toxic and pathogenic in the body.”

So, it is best advised to consume fruits and vegetables in their raw form.

The healing power of juicing simply takes the raw nutrient power present in uncooked foods and turns it into an easily digestible form.

“All life on earth emanates from the green of the plant.”

Digest and Assimilate with Ease

Our digestive system is designed to break down all the foodstuffs you eat and turns them into fuel for your body and most of the time, it runs smoothly.

But what most people are ignorant of or simply forget, is that the digestive system hasn’t evolved to digest certain foods, such as meat, dairy or refined products. To learn more on the dangers of dairy and meat, check out The China Study b T. Colin Campbell.

If you gad X-ray vision, you would find in your intestines food that was eaten in days, months and even years ago. This is due to your bad habit of eating denatured foods which clogs your digestive tract. This means your digestive system or what I term “built-in juice extractor” cannot run at full efficiency and can no longer be effective.

This is where the healing power of juicing comes in. When you juice raw fruits and vegetables through a juicer, you’ve effectively done the body’s work for it. You’ve helped the body absorb the nutrients easier. That means the body won’t need to digest the food any longer and it will internalize the nutrients the fastest way possible.

A key thing to note here is that the digestive process consumes energy. If the body has to work hard to digest something, it will consume a lot of energy, making you experience feelings of tiredness. So when you begin juicing and successfully bypass the digestive process (for the most part), you will feel refreshed and revitalized, with a lot more energy that you’re used to. Juicing and healing really works wonders, wouldn’t you agree?
